Self-led School Visits (RESERVE YOUR DATE FOR FREE-TRIP INVOICED POST- VISIT)

Bring your pupils on a self-led visit to Sacrewell to explore everything the farm has to offer including friendly farm animals, our 18th century water mill, sensory kitchen garden and exciting indoor, outdoor and natural play areas.

Self-led visits cost £7.50 per pupil, supervising school staff attend free-of-charge, and additional adults who are coming to enjoy the day out (but not to supervise the trip) are £8 each.

Self-led activities can be emailed free of charge to teachers on request.  Activities include:

Activity (Suitable for EYFS, KS1 and KS2)
Discovering Farm Animals Use clues to find our animals and complete our orienteering challenge.
Farming Past and Present Follow our history trail to explore the farm and discover how people of the past lived and worked at Sacrewell.
Fresh Food from the Garden Visit our fruit and vegetable garden and discover where our seasonal food comes from.
Picture Book Based Activities 

What The Ladybird Heard by Julia Donaldson

Follow our map to discover some of the creatures and features in the story whilst meeting our friendly animals.

Oliver's Vegetables by Vivienne French

Visit our walled garden to hunt down the vegetables featured in the story and discover how lots of other familiar fresh fruit and vegetables grow.

 

Tractor Tours may be available at an additional cost of £2 per pupil (school staff free of charge). Please email learning@sacrewell.org.uk to enquire about availability

 

Visit Arrangements:

Sacrewell is open 9am-4:30pm. We have ample parking for coaches. Lockable crates are available on arrival to leave bags and packed lunches in. Public picnic areas, hand washing and toilet facilities are available throughout the site. Please note that we are unable to reserve an indoor base for schools booking a self-led visit however all public indoor and outdoor areas are available for school use.

Lead teachers booking a self-led visit are welcome for a pre-trip planning visit. Upon booking, you will be emailed confirmation of your trip along with health and safety information to support any risk assessment.
